Harry Watson is a senior Nyikina lawman who lives at Jarlmadangah Burru, a community south-west of Derby, Western Australia. He was born in the early 1940s on Mount Anderson Station, where, as a boy, he built and repaired station fences.

As a young man he worked as a horse tailer before leaving Mount Anderson to take up numerous other occupations throughout the Kimberley region.

Harry was one of the founding members of the Jarlmadangah Burru Community and continues to take part in programmes which have been created for, by and with his people. He is a respected and much loved member of his own and the broader Kimberley community.

Harry met Abdul Casley and his camels in the early 1980s on Mount Anderson Station. He developed a fascination with the animals at this first meeting. Some years later, Cas gave Harry some camels, enabling him to begin his calling as a cameleer.
