The Backroom Press Writing Prize, 2020

Attention Kimberley Writers

As part of the 2020 Corrugated Lines: A festival of words, we are running a writing competition with a cash prize. Details below:

Who can enter:  Anyone who has lived or spent time in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.

What to do:  Write a short story of no more than 2000 words with a Kimberley theme. Stories may be fiction or creative non-fiction and must not have been published elsewhere.

Deadline for entry:  Sunday, July 5th 2020

Entry fee:  There is no entry fee.

How to submit:  Please fill out an entry form with the title of your story and your name and contact details. Tell us about your experience of the Kimberley in no more than 50 words. Do not write your name on your story, but do give it a title.

Announcement of winners and awarding of prizes:  The winners will be announced during the Corrugated Lines festival weekend (details TBA) and on the Corrugated Lines and Backroom Press Facebook pages. Winners will also be contacted directly.
